Applying the entire process—and why guidance makes the difference

After the previous modules established the basics, the mechanism of action, the implementation of the eye movements, and the structured sequence of self-coaching, the decisive step now follows: the actual execution.

The six steps presented earlier are no longer just theoretical; they are brought into a guided session that carries the entire process. That is exactly where the special value of this module lies.

Guided through the process—with clarity and structure

The guided application consistently follows the structure built up earlier. Each step is accompanied in its timing and implemented in a way that makes it possible to focus fully on your own process.

This creates a form of guidance that goes beyond simple instruction. Attention is held, transitions are supported, and the flow remains stable in itself—without needing to be actively managed.

This form of support is based on many years of practical experience using EMDR. Over many years, it has become clear that the way guidance is provided is what determines whether a process unfolds clearly, calmly, and in a way you can follow.

That exact quality is provided in this module.

The six steps in direct experience

The guided session follows the complete self-coaching sequence. The topic is chosen, the associated emotions are named, and attention is directed to bodily sensations.

On this basis, the actual processing begins. The process is kept moving without being interrupted, while being guided in a way that allows stable awareness to remain possible.

As it continues, residual sensations are addressed that may only show up during the application. Finally, the changed experience is anchored in a targeted way so the process transitions into a calm, completed state.

These steps are not taught in isolation, but made understandable through direct experience.

Time, space, and repeatability—the strength of the format

A key advantage of this form of application lies in the framework it provides.

The session deliberately takes its time. With a duration of around 30 minutes, it creates a space in which the process does not need to be rushed or shortened. Each section receives the attention it needs, without time pressure.

At the same time, the application remains flexible. The session can be paused at any time, individual sections can be repeated, and you can re-enter whenever you want. This creates a way of using it that can be adapted to your own situation.

This combination of structure and flexibility makes the difference.

Between instruction and personal support

Even though it is a video format, it creates a form of guidance that is oriented to a real session. The individual steps are not only named, but supported throughout their flow.

The process remains clearly structured and at the same time open enough to put your own experience at the center. A balance emerges between instruction and personal experience.

This form of support is not a replacement for a therapeutic session, but targeted support within the framework of self-coaching.
