Self-coaching or coaching with a coach – how do we decide?

Self Coaching or Coaching - EMDR Coaching with REMSTIM 3000Those who want to free themselves from negative emotions and stressful thoughts usually use one of 2 ways: either they seek help from a third party or they try to help themselves. Those who choose to see a coach take the first approach and seek advice from an outsider. Anyone who decides to do self-coaching wants to get themselves out of a predicament. Whichever path he chooses, it is usually accompanied by a desire to do it immediately. For those who have made the decision to change something, in most cases want the change to happen immediately. So why wait? With self-coaching, there is no reason to wait. Coaching with a coach for the first time is different. Because now is the time to answer specific questions:

Questions about coaching with the coach

Anyone who has found the right coach for themselves and their personal concerns, who can offer appointments promptly, has the right contact person for in-depth topics. Because, of course, for some topics the professional “top view” of a coach or a therapist is highly recommended or even unavoidable. (Please also read the Important information)

Very well suited for self-coaching are just our everyday sensitivities

However, it is often the small and recurring stresses of everyday life that get to us, but which we do not consider to be sufficiently serious to talk to a coach about and even spend money on. Which is a pity! Because precisely these small issues often reflect the sore points of our being. Here in particular, it is worthwhile to exert a positive influence through self-coaching. In such cases, EMDR self-coaching is an excellent way to work through the acute issue within a few minutes in a self-coaching session. We do not have to wait and can use our involvement immediately and unadulterated. We pick up what is and work with it. With the help of the EMDR goggles REMSTIM 3000, for example, 2-3 applications with a duration of 30 seconds each often help to open up to a new perspective on the subject and thus to calm and reorganize one’s own emotions. And what’s a minute and a half of “guided eye training” compared to a day full of bad moods? Of course, self-coaching also comes with questions. Anyone who wants to coach themselves might want to answer the following questions:

Self coaching questions

Ultimately, we must not forget that the use of EMDR in the past has often shown that the method can bring about lasting positive changes in us. According to the functional model of EMDR, even the smallest mini-traumatizations from the past, which unfortunately often manifest themselves in our stressful states of mind, can be addressed and resolved in particular. Our own fears of everyday life can thus be reduced in many cases and resulting barriers to action can finally be torn down. New paths then usually open up all by themselves. (see also stimulation effects of EMDR) The recommendation is as follows: The daily use of Rapid Eye Movement Stimulation nurtures and strengthens our emotional and mental constitution in a tangible way. And what then still “sticks” and even thereby only comes to light, can be discussed at the special appointment with the personal coach!
