Enduring stress for too long is unnecessary and does little to help. There’s just nothing more to it than feeling worse and worse. In many cases, most people carry their mental and emotional burdens around with them for far too long without doing anything about it.
Surveys show that very few people know how to deal with stress, feelings of anxiety or reduced performance; and so most people stoically endure their stressful emotions. There are alternatives that can help us in the moment of recognizing our tension. Rapid Eye Movement Stimulation, which is also used in coaching with EMDR, is an effective method in many cases.
